"The Lip"

I took my camera to the ballgame the other night to get some pics of Bubba pitching. When we got home that night I popped the memory card into the computer to see what I got. The result was hilarious! When you are watching a person pitch you don't really pay any attention to their facial expressions. I guess things happen so fast that you just miss it. But...when you take a quick succession of pictures you can see exactly what their faces look like! Check it out!

It starts out with just a menacing look...

and then...

out comes the lip!

Oh, my goodness! That is hilarious if you ask me!

And, as you can see, it's not just Bubba who brings out the lip...

check out his team mate's!

Yep, he's got the lip too!

But, this one takes the cake. He has something else in store for us...

no, no, not "the lip"

Can you see his unique style? heehee!

Oh, what fun! You know I love you guys! Thanks for being so entertaining and for a great season!

All is well in the world...

Well, it was prom night Friday night! Quite a different experience with a son than with a daughter I might add. We didn't have to find anyone to do hair, nails and toes. Just rent a tux to match the date's dress, shower, shave, brush teeth and put on your turf shoes! What a handsome son we have though, if I do say so myself!

And Cilla was beautiful too! Love that pink dress and her hair and makeup were beautiful! He's a lucky boy, right?

and see, I wasn't kidding about the turf shoes...

The turf shoes were something all of the baseball players were supposed to do but I'm not sure they did. More than likely August was the only one at prom making that fashion statement! Well, he was excited since his team beat Barber's Hill only moments before leaving for prom. It was the last game of the season and BH was undefeated until we beat them. BH has become sort of a rival for us. When the boys were younger we inter leagued with them during Little League. It always made for great games and we really enjoyed it.

Things were pretty busy but I did manage to get a few snaps at the end of the game. Franky was awesome on the mound as usual. Here's the last pitch...

Top of the 7th inning, we were ahead 6 to 5, 2 outs, runners on first and second. It was a ground ball hit to Reuben who fielded it handily and threw it over to Larry on first base for the final out of the game. Can you tell he was excited?!

Well, everyone was actually...and I have no idea how August got to Franky first! He wasn't even on the field at the time! They go all the way back to tee ball together! Sweet victory for all of them!
